A fully oxidized tea. Black tea is produced in Kenya and other African countries. Much of the continent’s black tea is grown for the tea bag industry, and it is often mixed with other types of tea to make blends. Black tea is brisk, malty, full-bodied, and bracing because of the rich flavors that develop during the oxidation process. The leaves go through the following processes: plucking, withering, rolling, oxidation, firing/drying and sorting. Our black tea from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and other African countries are a special delight.
